Founded during a recession, by one man & his beloved Chocolate Labrador (sadly no longer with us), in 2010, The Dog Squad has proven to be a well-known & established name within Reading. The Company has grown year on year – sticking firmly to its principles – not following the fads of the day.  Set up with the express aim of providing you & your pets with the ultimate in care, consideration & professionalism whilst combining this with a warmth, friendship & proven trust. As a long-time dog owner himself, the Co. Founder has provided our clients with a bespoke tailored service for over a decade. An unanticipated pleasure: clients have almost invariably become friends & appreciated his dedication to them, their families and their furry sons & daughters.

Incidentally: his current dog - his first girl - inspired by his last boy’s ‘wife’; a client’s (& now friend’s) girl who decided he belonged to her … & our founder gave her a ‘pet’ name - Princess. The most unlikely choice apparently, not suited to his image, a Standard Poodle.

This has been the challenge & ethos that we’ve worked, tirelessly, to provide … a total of 2 weeks Annual Leave* taken in 13+ years by our Co. Founder (regularly working 7 days a week) … & the fact that clients have almost entirely stayed loyal through the years is perhaps testimony to their acknowledgement of this fact.

*This is now changing: Today, all Companies must acknowledge market forces, we are restructuring to focus on just the two core areas that we provide better than any of the others: Dog Walker in Reading (Monday to Friday) & Pet Sitting in Reading. Quality work and private/personal life needs balance!

Clients have also, very kindly, agreed that we should henceforth be paid for 5 weeks annual leave
